Description The following cost analysis chart represents a black specks cleaning performed with a 350 ton injection molding machine running clean PPS. Trial 1 was performed using no purging compound. Trial 2 was performed using Ultra Purge HT grade.
Conclusion As indicated above, the trial confirms that using Ultra Purge significantly reduces production down time. Depending on the severity of the problem sometimes customers have to take apart the screws and clean it mechanically. The down time and lost of production is usually the most important component in the purging breakdown cost analysis. Reduction of Purging Time: 90%
Color Change Cost Analysis
Description The following cost analysis is related to a color changed performed with a 500 Ton injection molding machine purging Black PS with the Ultra Purge High-E. Trial 1 was performed using no purging compound. Trail 2 was performed using Ultra Purge High-E grade.
ConclusionAs shown in the above cost analysis Ultra Purge was very efficient in reducing the cost of the purging material but it was even more efficient in reducing production down time. The down time and loss of production is usually the biggest component in the color change break-down cost analysis. Reduction of Purging Material: 82% Reduction of Down-Time: 67%
